Design-Friendly Artificial Snow Dunes

Note Design Studio's Installation Explores Winter Landscapes

This artificial snow dune installation by Note Design Studio is arranged in conjunction with Stockholm Design Week. The man-made mounds are exhibited via glass pavilions on the roof of the At Six hotel.

The installation is appropriately dubbed 'Snowtopped.' Besides offering a visual embellishment for guests of the hotel, the project has another aim. The artificial snow dunes have been manufactured by French company Tarkett, using its vinyl flooring products. With the challenge of accurately depicting curvaceous and smooth organic forms, the installation is able to showcase the properties and flexibility of Tarkett's offering.

Through infusing a product that is available to consumers within installations that ultimately exhibit the functionalities of said product, companies are able to capture the attention and delight their target audience.
