Snapchat Announces 'Snapchat Plus' Subscription Service is in Testing

Snapchat is developing a paid subscription feature called 'Snapchat Plus' that allows users to pay to use features that are still in beta. Still in testing, the program allows Snapchat users to pin other users as their "#1 BFF", change the Snapchat icon, view who has rewatched their story, and more.

"We’re doing early internal testing of Snapchat Plus, a new subscription service for Snapchatters. We’re excited about the potential to share exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features with our subscribers, and learn more about how we can best serve our community," said Spokesperson Liz Markman.

Many corporations have implemented paywalls to access limited features, and Snapchat is leveraging a lot of customization options that other apps lack. 'Snapchat Plus' will be released in the near future.
