Smoke Jumper Shelters

The Bushbunker Provides Safe Spaces for First Responders

Smoke jumpers have one of the most dangerous jobs in the world, and the Bushbunker shelter could help them out. Made with 300mm steel and reinforced fire retardant concrete, this shelter can withstand 4 hours of direct exposure to flames.

They can also be made in one piece so they are strong and airtight. A standard Bushbunker can accommodate six adults for four hours and would come equipped with compressed air cylinders to maintain positive air pressure.

Other features include bench seating, battery powered electric lighting, UHF radio, emergency transponders, fire blankets, and other fire aid material.
