The smart home is an amalgamation of the smart alarm system, the smart mirror, the smart speaker and now, the smart wardrobe. At CES 2019, tech company Bosch presents its BML100Pl projector which will make it significantly easier for users to arrange their clothes, pick outfits and even check the weather.
Although still in the prototyping stages, Bosch is not planning to make its technology available directly to consumers but to integrate the sensor into upcoming furniture offerings. Thus, a smart wardrobe will not be the end of the line for the BML100Pl which will likely serve functions for fridges, smart cams and more.
The tech projects interactive buttons onto shelves. The demo at CES saw a range of clothing icons that allowed the audience "to sort through [...] shirts, pick an option with a press and order more."
