There isn't too much you can say about a sloth in space that would make a lot of sense. The things we do know is that he wouldn't be able to do normal astronaut things because he's slow and doesn't have many fingers and also he's a sloth.
In this funny video by Weebl we see a Sloth take off into space to fight Godzilla (who is inexplicably in space) and do other sloth astronaut things. This is obviously not ideal and even the singer points that out. Oh yeah, did we mention that he turns into a mutant sloth half way through? Because he does and it only adds to the hilarity.
They don't actually say if he beats Godzilla, the fact that he's a mutant, astronaut sloth was probably the real point here.
