Data-Driven Activity Trackers

The Slice Activity Tracker with PAI Will be Revealed at CES 2016

Mio's 'Slice' activity tracker will be unveiled to the public during this year's CES 2016. This modified fitness-tracking wearable uses a 'Personal Activity Intelligence' (PAI) system, which was created using the 'HUNT Study.' Each tacker is personalized to the wearer and adjusts to age and gender.

The PAI is a metric system that provides wearers with a score based on how their body and heart rate responds to exercise. Mio's Slice activity tracker aims to encourage excellent health in all wearers by providing them with a goal -- to maintain a PAI score of 100. The score is only achieved when wearers "workout for different amounts of time and at different intensities." By encouraging change, alteration and reducing repetition, it will increase one's lifespan and improve overall health.

Other benefits of Slice include its heart rate monitor, legible screen and its ability to track steps, distance, calories burned and sleep.
