The KUBIS Lights by Sergey Lvov Take Inspiration From the Slang Saying 'WTF'

Slang sayings often become integral parts of many consumers' vernacular and the term 'WTF' is one that designer Sergey Lvov uses as inspiration for his lighting collection entitled KUBIS. The collection features an array of modular lights that replicate the exoskeleton of the letter 'X' with the slang acronym located inside.

The KUBIS line references the popularity of the saying 'WTF' by dedicating an avant-garde moveable for the home based off of the acronym. The design takes inspiration from the shapes featured in the words as well as the focus on curved shapes and crosses in the 20th century. This leads the lamp to have a two dimensional design made of out of colored wire complete with a matching pedestal in vivid colors. The acronym is located at the middle of the lamp's wired cross shape.
