Translucent Tourist Attractions

The Skywalk on Tianmen Mountain Requires Extra Underwear

Most tourist attractions can be bland and fairly tame, but the Skywalk on Tianmen Mountain in China will have you shrieking like a child at a Six Flags.

The Skywalk on Tianmen Mountain is located in the Hunan Province, China. The 200 foot long bridge is completely see through, giving spectators a bird’s-eye view of sprawling national parks and peaks of smaller mountains. The Skywalk is attached to steep rock face located one and half kilometers above the ground. If that isn’t scary enough, the glass used for the walkway is a mere 2.5 inches thick.

The Skywalk on Tianmen Mountain is hoping to boost tourism to a region that has seen its fair share of natural disasters over the years.
