The Skunk Train, a historic railway operation in Northern California, has introduced two new experiential journeys designed to cater to different consumer preferences for scenic travel.
The Skunk Train's first offering — the Presidential Class Car — departs from Fort Bragg and provides an elevated level of service within a renovated railcar, featuring spacious, comfortable seating, premium beverage service including specialty cocktails, and exclusive boarding privileges aimed at creating a more refined and leisurely atmosphere. The second offering is dubbed the Highball Express. This service originates from Willits and is structured as a more social and energetic excursion, featuring a curated selection of local beverages and snacks for purchase, a route that reaches the line's highest elevation point, and a scheduled stop at a designated natural area where amenities like fire pits and s'mores roasting are available.
