Cremain-Embedded Pet Art

Skrekkogle is Offering to Paint a Portrait Made From Rover's Remains

The folks over at Skrekkogle have imagined a new way to honor pets (and maybe humans) who have passed away. Ceremonies leave you with difficult memories and scattering ashes leave you with nothing at all, so a new tradition that combines both options has been developed.

If you so choose, Skrekkogle is willing to fabricate portraits made from the ashen remains of your beloved pets. Pictured above is one example, highlighting the horror and genuine talent captured by the piece. Although the technique used to graft the ash onto the canvas isn't being discussed, it's sure to involve some kind of witchcraft... and maybe glue.

Although the idea somewhat troubling, it certainly has its appeal. Not only are you given a means of remembering your dog or cat daily, but in a sense, they're still there with you!
