The Skinny Shard Building is Designed For Mixed-Use Applications

The building at 31 London Street -- unofficially nicknamed the 'skinny Shard' -- is an extremely eye-catching tower and architectural development developed by Renzo Piano in collaboration with Sellar Property Group. This $1.54 billion development is being developed for the English capital London. Ultimately, this unique mixed-use project -- named 31 London Street -- will rise to a height of 65 stories and will include luxury homes, office spaces, retail spaces and large public areas.

The development is located on the site of a former Royal Mail sorting office, quite close to the iconic Paddington Station. At a height of 224 meters, it will be one of the tallest towers in London behind the Shard, One Canada Square, Heron Tower and the Cheesegrater building.

The skinny Shard is set to be completed in 2020, at which point it'll surely become an attraction of sorts.
