Cell Structure-Inspired Jewelry

The Skein Ring Resembles Cellular Structures Found in Nature

Iraq born architect and designer Zaha Hadid recently designed a limited-edition, exclusive collection of rings and bracelets called Skein. Combining ingenious design technology with immensely high quality craftsmanship, the Skein collection is born.

The collection was made in collaboration with Swiss luxury jewelry firm Caspita. Inspired by cellular structures that are commonly found in nature, the ring is a delicate yet stunning sculpture that is composed of interwoven and overlapping geometric shapes. The 18 karat rings come in black, rose, yellow and white gold; all rings come with the option to inlay 288 diamonds.

The architect and her new venture in goldsmithing has also added a bracelet to the structurally superimposed collection that has undergone approximately 300 hours of polishing to achieve the polished result.
