SilverStone's FLP01 Mimics the Plastic Computers of the 80s

The SilverStone FLP01 is a retro‐inspired HTPC chassis that recasts the company’s classic GD09 design in a cream-and-beige colorway with nostalgic ’80s styling cues—most notably a faux floppy-disk-drive front bezel and clean, boxy lines. First unveiled as a concept at Computex, the FLP01’s aesthetic nods to early personal computers while preserving SilverStone’s hallmark attention to build quality and component accessibility.

Beneath its vintage appearance, the FLP01 offers a modern, positive‐pressure cooling layout with quick‐access dust filters and support for two front 120 mm fans (one included), two rear 80 mm fans, plus mounting points for side fans. Internally, a universal drive cage accommodates a 5.25″ ODD (or 3.5″ HDD/2.5″ SSD), a dedicated 3.5″ bay (convertible to 2.5″), and an additional 2.5″ mount. The steel-and-plastic chassis accepts SSI-CEB, ATX, Micro-ATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards, up to seven expansion cards (+1 riser slot), PS2-style ATX power supplies, and features front-panel USB 3.0, USB-C, and audio ports for contemporary connectivity.
