Silver Fern Farms Doubles Down on Its Commitments to Sustainable Beef Production

New Zealand-based meat company Silver Fern Farms is aiming to become the world's most eco-friendly grass-fed beef brand. In keeping with this vision, the company launched its very first net-zero carbon beef product called 'Toitū Net Carbon Zero Certified Beef.' The new sustainable beef line was released in the U.S. in 2021.

In addition to launching a carbon-free beef product, the company has recently announced other its commitment to other eco-friendly initiatives. For example, in a recent press release, it stated its commitment to roll out a new regenerative farming scheme as well as announced that it plans to end all its use of coal by 2030.

"We want to embed sustainability into our brand promise. This demands not merely doing less harm, but doing greater good by ultimately enhancing the eco-systems we operate in," said Chief Executive Officer Simon Limmer.
