Baptiste Viry is a talented fashion graduate from the prestigious French couture school, l’Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale de la Couture Parisienne. He has already worked for Hermes been involved in artistic collaborations with Jean-Paul Gaultier and cultural magazine Kiblind which can only be described as a remarkable beginning to a fashion career.

Babtiste Viry’s latest project was an experiment of re-invention. Focusing only on adorning the torso, Viry’s collection is a varied combination of hats, jewellery and especially waistcoats.

Here is a few snapshots of how an ‘accessory garment’ like the waist coat can be worn, according to Viry taking inspiration from the S/S 09 collection ‘In Praise of the Bust’.
