The Shockwave VR is a Full Set of Sensory, Motion-Tracking Clothing

'Shockwave VR,' the virtual reality technologies company, has launched a prototype and accompanying fundraiser for its 'Shockwave Suit.' This suit is a wireless virtual reality-ready haptic suit with full-body tracking that can be made custom-fit for a customer. To create the most authentic experience possible, the Shockwave Suit is equipped with an astonishing 64 haptic points that span across the body.

This full-body tracking suit comes with a shirt and several nodes that are to be placed around the legs. While the nodes are only placed over certain areas, the Shockwave Suit has proprietary software that allows it to simulate "ghost effect vibrations" which create sensations on the body even where there are no nodes present.

Lastly, in order to achieve accurate wireless tracking, Shockwave has equipped its suit with eight inertial measurement units (IMU). These units analyze movement direction and speed to deliver accurate tracking data to the virtual receiver.
