Shimansky Offers the World's Most Expensive Tattoo

South African model and Shimansky brand ambassador Minki van der Westhuizen wore South African luxury jeweller Shimansky's most expensive tattoo, valued at $924,000 USD.

The Shimansky "tattoo" wasn't a real tattoo in the traditional sense, as it involved 612 Shimansky Ideal Cut .5 carat diamonds. Diamonds were attached to Minki's skin using a water-based adhesive, which took a painstaking eight hours. Unfortunately, the tattoo is temporary only.

Implications - The high degree of consumption amongst modern consumers is equally matched with very short attention spans. Consumers' preferences and tastes are constantly fluctuating. As a result, businesses will benefit tremendously by providing consumers with fast fixes to their product cravings that will not bear any permanence or commitment for the future.
