Layered Felt Vase Lights

The Sherazade Lamps by Siba Sahabi are Inspired by the Middle East

Layers of felt strips are painted on either side and then coiled around each other to create the bulbous and curvy landscapes of the Sherazade lamp series by Siba Sahabi.

As light emanates from within the rotund urn shapes, it seems as though the designer has found a way to bottle light, letting a warm glow penetrate through the openings in each lampshade. Metallic tones reflect the light, giving each vessel an inner glow as though they contain mysterious magical properties.

Inspired by the silhouettes of the Middle Eastern skyline at night, the Sherazade lamps are named after the fabled Persian queen from the lore of One Thousand and One Nights, combining ancient design aesthetic along with contemporary materials and technologies.
