Comedian Shed Simove is exposing the lack of accessibility and affordability associated with 'Google Glass,' the smart glasses recently released by the search engine corporation, and created a more affordable set. However, the comedian's 'Google Glass' is not wearable glasses, it is a set of glassware.
Simove’s drinking glasses are clear, but are engraved with Google’s iconic search bar and a whimsical search topic. The glasses come in two versions: "Search for beverage" and "I’m feeling lucky." Consumers also have the option of getting a glass engraved with their own search term.
The product is currently on Kickstarter and has already exceeded its goal amount thanks to Simove's witty approach. However, Simove notes on his Kickstarter page that "Google might sue [his] arse. If they do, [he] may run another Kickstarter campaign to help with the legal fees."
