The Shattered LED Watch Only Appears to be Damaged

Inspired by the colorful pattern that occurred when he accidentally dropped and broke his wristwatch, designer Kyle conceived the Shattered LED Watch.

This watch appears to be broken when you glance at it, with cracks going all the way throughout the screen. The cracks have a beauty of their own, acting like a miniature piece of art worn on your wrist with multiple colors running through them. However, the colors can actually be used to tell you the time, with each broken section symbolizing a unit of measurement. For example, each blue segment represents an hour, each red segment represents five minutes, each yellow segment represents a single minute and the green lets you know if it is AM or PM.

The Shattered LED Watch concept works to defy damage.
