Atypical Sharing Platters

Pinch Food Design Creates Dishes that Serve as Conversation Starters

The fine folks over at Pinch Food Design has taken the concept of sharing platter quite literally. Rethinking the typical sharing platter, they are meant to be mixed and matched to force people to mingle more naturally in search of the perfect pairing to complete their mini meals.

On the same topic of the sharing platter serving as more of a conversation starter, experimental Hungarian design workshop dombon-a-tanya has designed dishes that are meant to interact with the food in a unique way. Essentially, wooden 'trays' are placed on larger food items and balanced with smaller pieces of food that are meant to be paired with it. A playful and creative display, people won't want to eat it.
