The Shaoxing Project Will Add Three Green Stepped Skyscrapers

As part of a competition entry for the Shaoxing Cultural Creativity Park Project, Washington DC-based architecture and design firm Liu Xiang Designs recently won the competition for the redesigning of the park project, located in the Zhejiang province in China.

The public space is located at the intersections of Pingjiang Road and Shengli East Road. The project will be a significant development and addition of the ZheJiang cityscape. The development will be projected to feature three skyscrapers that will be designed with a stepped design in the middle of the towers that will be planted with shrubs and greenery. The stepped structure is constructed for visitors of the park to stop and reflect on the tower’s exterior while providing environmentally aware elements on the buildings’ balconies.

The park will be projected to feature a water park, with a 30 meter wide connecting pathway to city roads for pedestrians.
