Nobody seems to have a problem with Senator John Edward's getting caught visiting his mistress and love child, but Senator Larry Craig got slammed by the press because he took a gay dump at the airport while taking an anti-gay stance in the halls of Congress.
Pundits are saying it's because homo-hypocrisy is out, but hetero-hypocrisy is in. Edwards wasn't arrested of course, and Edwards was just got caught sneaking around.
