Eco Adhesive Labels

VPF's Environmentally Friendly Self-Adhesive Label is Made of Grass Paper

Labelstock supplier VPF recently added to its assortment with an eco-friendly self-adhesive label made from an innovative alternative to wood. Rather than being made from a base of wood, as most paper products are, the unique new label is made from grass paper, which can be created from a readily available, abundantly renewable resource.

The paper contains 50% of sundried fresh fibers, which means that less energy and water is needed to produce the product—VPF notes that less than a liter of water is needed for each ton of grass fiber pulp. Additionally, grass paper is recyclable, compostable and can easily be printed with conventional methods.

The applications for this environmentally friendly self-adhesive label are virtually endless, as well as approved for direct food contact.
