The Second-Generation Apple AirTag Has a 50% Extended Range

The second-generation Apple AirTag has been debuted as the brand's latest item tracker that's engineered with a number of advancements with a familiar price point. The new tracker comes nearly five years after the release of the original and is powered by the Ultra Wideband chip that's found in the brand's flagship devices like the iPhone 17, Apple Watch Series 11 and Apple Watch Ultra 3. The chip will enable Precision Finding with an increased range of 50% over the previous device to maximize the ability to quickly and effectively find lost or misplaced items.

The second-generation Apple AirTag also features a louder speaker to further aid locating and is powered by a user-replaceable CR2032 battery. The tracker maintains the original price point of the original at $29 each or $99 for a four pack.
