The clever labeling system makes the sale of fresh cuts of seafood in naturalistic packaging that preserves tradition while maintaining the integrity of the market experience.
Using black and white monochromatic patterns that slightly recall the orderly nature of an IKEA assembly instruction booklet, the system is called the Liska Fish Labeling System and includes a periodic table-inspired guide to each symbol and its corresponding meaning.
Borasca noted that her inspiration for the project was shifting the power back to the consumer, given that generally speaking, the full knowledge of a product is reserved for the seller.
