The 'Sea Voyage' Turned a Giant Ship into a Projector Screen

Using a giant cruise ship as a canvas, the 'Sea Voyage' installation projected an amazing light show. The project used P&O Cruises' gargantuan ship called the Pacific Pearl in order to create magnificent visual effects. While the ship was being used as a screen, over 2,000 travelers aboard the ship experienced the light show first hand.

The Sea Voyage light show consisted of inspiring imagery. Spectators were dazzled with the depictions of the sea, flags and fireworks that were projected onto the side of the Pacific Pearl.

The project was part of the Australian festival Vivid Sydney which focuses on light-based art. Sea Voyage's beautiful light show beautified Sydney for five minute intervals over the course of six hours. The cruise ship was docked in the Circular Quay in order to provide maximum visibility for spectators.
