Mary Pattavina is from Nebraska and she designs stuff. Some of the stuff she designs are hats. Hats and something called fascinators. Fascinators, as well as I can tell, are sort of wearable sculptures for your head. I think they’d come in very handy for attracting cats.
The work is unique, playful and completely wearable--if you have the moxie to give wearing them a try. There are a range of styles, so you can choose a butterfly or flower over a dolphin or squid. This is a design move that should address potential concerns of the less flamboyant among us.
