Monochromatic Sculptural Bowls

Nendo Creates Exceptionally Minimalist Dishware for Zens

These sculptural bowls by Tokyo-based design studio Nendo have an elegant aesthetic that will effortlessly insert itself in the minimalist contemporary home. The collection is subtly dubbed 'Fungi,' which is perhaps an acknowledgment of the abstract resemblance of a mushroom.

The sculptural bowl range features seven distinct designs that differ in shape. They are compatible with one another, hence, the consumer can arrange the tableware in different configurations. When stacked, the dishes "appear to grow out of one another, similar to the growth of mushrooms." During the design process of the Fungi collection, Nendo focused not only on a crisp aesthetic but also functionality. As a result, the endlessly configurable tableware can serve food in beautiful and unexpected ways.
