ScreenPop Cuts Out the Middle Man

Locket is introducing 'ScreenPop,' an Android app that allows users to take and share photos directly on their friends' lock screens. Much like Snapchat, users are able to add text, emojis and doodles to their images.

We all check our lock screens countless times throughout the day, deciding which messages and notifications to open at any given time. By broadcasting images directly onto people's lock screens, ScreenPop saves users time and battery power that is normally wasted opening and closing various apps. It also ensures that users will never miss a message, so long as their phone is on them.

So far, the start-up has raised $3.2 million from investors such as Tyra Banks and Great Oaks Venture Capital.
