For his thesis project at the University of Minnesota, graduate architecture student Hank Buttita made a school bus home.
With the help of a friend, Hank was able to convent an ordinary public school bus into a mobile home. The inside of the bus is outfitted with two skylights, a queen-size bed, dining area, kitchen, storage spaces and a bathroom. Many of the wooden furniture pieces inside of the bus are modular, since space is a little tight. However, the bus can still hold about 12 people at once comfortably.
Hank is taking his new school bus home across America to test its ability to withstand a number of different environments, as well as show off this unique mobile home. Hank keeps a log of his cross-country travels on his website, 'HankBoughtaBus.com.'
