'Samsung Reclaim' Uses Earth-Friendly Corn-Based Plastics

The newest Sprint Green Phone is the ‘Samsung Reclaim.’ It is partially made from corn-based bio-plastics and is 80 percent recyclable. Samsung also donates $2 from each sale to the Nature Conservancy’s Adopt an Acre program.

The 3.9-by-2.3-inch Reclaim is available in earth green and ocean blue. In addition to the phone’s environmentally-friendly features and packaging, the Reclaim handles text, email, Facebook , YouTube, has a GPS, a 2 megapixel camera, QWERTY keyboard, 3.5mm headphone jack, an Energy Star charger on top of other goodies.

The phone is available from Sprint for $50 after rebate with a 2 year contract or qualifying upgrade.
