Samsung Display, the television and monitor manufacturing sub-division of Samsung Electronics, has unveiled the technology behind its new QD-OLED TV screen. This screen will deliver true, pure RGB colors at a brightness of 1,000 nits. This feature has earned the upcoming QD-OLED screen a 'Pure RGB Luminance Certification' from SGS, an independent South Korean testing and inspections company.
In addition to the quality RGB that this screen provides, it also features a QD display that maintains up to 80% of the frontal luminance when viewing the TV from a 60-degree angle. This has earned the TV an 'Ultrawide Viewing Angle Certification' from SGS as well. This television is expected to deliver roughly a 90% more clear range of colors and a substantial increase in the quality of contrast and vibrance when compared to existing models.
