Fencing Beer Branding

Saber Beer Uses Sport to Promote its Brew

Saber Beer has turned to the sport of fencing to promote its latest brew. Working with Sara Gonzalez, the company went with a minimalist look for its packaging, but chose to throw some athletics on the front for good measure.

The branding uses earthy hues for the background color of the label, along with accents of yellow and blue throughout. The name of the beer is seen clearly on the front so that consumers know exactly what they are drinking. Above the name of the brand are two young men fencing with each other. While this is not a usual image to place on beer packaging, it helps to differentiate Saber Beer from the many wilderness-inspired illustrations from popular brands such as Kokanee and Coors beer to name a few.
