The Runsafer Smart Shoe Ensures People Have the Proper Running Form

Nike might have released a sensor that sits in the shoe in order to analyze people's exercise stats, but the Runsafer Smart Shoe monitors the form that people run in. Both go hand in hand to ensure that a person is exercising optimally. Without the proper form, runners can easily be doing daily harm to their bodies instead of good.

Developed by the Fraunhofer Institute in Germany in collaboration with scientists in five European countries, the Runsafer Smart Shoe has been equipped with G force, direction and GPS sensors. According to Dvice, these come together to "determine how hard, how fast, and how long you're running, including information about whether you're on a hard or soft surface, and when you are taking a break." This data is transmitted via Bluetooth to smartphones.
