Luck-based Indie RPGs

'Roulette Knight' Requires More Luck Than Skill to Survive

Russian roulette rarely makes an appearance in video games but 'Roulette Knight' manages to include the incredibly dangerous game in a rewarding risk-vs-reward style of gameplay. Developed as a submission to 'Ludum Dare 4.1,' this game combines gambling style gameplay with a light bit of RPG stylings. The RPG elements come in the form of purchasable loot that boost certain stats, as well as a general leveling system that offers up passive and active bonuses.

Roulette Knight is in no means a serious game, as players are placed into the shoes of a knight that must rise through the ranks by playing Russian roulette. Rewards are offered for every round survived and can be increased by adding more bullets to the gun. Progressing through Roulette Knight will involve quite a bit of luck but each level presents a new challenge with the possibility of a game over happening at any moment.
