Rootine Uses AI to Offer Clients Hyper-Customized Nutritional Advice

Nashville-based precision health startup Rootine utilizes artificial intelligence to assess clients' DNA, blood, and lifestyle markers. Once this data is acquired, the app can offer these clients "hyper-customized" macro and micronutrient recommendations.

Last summer, the new startup was able to secure $3 million in seed funding while gaining several high-profile celebrity endorsements; most notably, Carolina Panthers player Brian Burns announced that he used the new service to manage his dieting. According to the company, Rootine was established to empower people globally by offering them access to invaluable health data.

"The future of health is data-driven and personalized," said Rachel Soper Sanders, co-founder, and CEO, in a recent interview. And considering the recent deluge of new personalized health startups, Sanders is certainly is not wrong in her assessment of the health and fitness industry's future.
