Rooster Rojo Has Released a New 'Smoked Pineapple Infused Añejo'

Amber Beverage Group has expanded its offering of premium spirits with the addition of Rooster Rojo's 'Smoked Pineapple Infused Añejo.' This will be the very first tequila from Fabrica de Tequilas Fino in the United Kingdom since the Rooster Rojo distillery in Jalisco, Mexico was acquired by the spirit company.

The new Rooster Rojo tequila is created entirely from Blue Weber agave before being initially aged for a minimum of 12 months in ex-bourbon whiskey barrels. From there the liquid is infused with red Spanish pineapples that have been thoroughly smoked, adding a complex layer of smoky flavor to the spirit.

According to the company, tasting notes of the new tequila include banana, pineapple, and spices, all of which present with a distinct smoky finish.
