Robot-Teaching Computer Programs

Robo Brain Uses the Internet to Teach Robots Human Knowledge

Robo Brain is a cloud-based program that aims to bring us one step closer to transforming robots into the all-knowing powerful forces that they are depicted as in sci-fi movies and books. The project essentially trawls the Internet in search of information before sharing it with robots, bestowing human knowledge upon them.

If a robot encounters a situation that it doesn't know how to handle, it can query Robot Brain for help. For example, if it comes across a coffee mug and doesn't know what to do with it, Robo Brain can inform it of coffee mugs' functions.

The program can currently download and analyze 1 billion images, 120,000 YouTube videos and 100 million how-to documents and manuals.
