Roblox Released the Layered Clothing Feature to Increase Compatability

'Roblox,' one of the most-played video games in the world with over 50 million active users, has released the 'Roblox Layered Clothing' update. This update will allow users to apply clothing to their character models in layers. For a simple example, a user wearing a shirt will now be able to place a jacket on top of this shirt. However, the application of this feature does not end here.

As part of the Layered Clothing feature, digital collectible clothing in Roblox will now be compatible with countless character models. Prior to this update, creators would have needed to select a certain body type that the clothing would be for. Now, the clothes can effectively be applied to any character model. A noteworthy example of this cross-character Layered Clothing is placing a shirt on a tree, or a pair of pants on a car.

The company has not outlined any plans to release NFTs as part of the Layered Clothing feature. However, NFTs would suit this space of digital collectibles quite well, as it would open the door for unique, one-of-a-kind Roblox items.
