Architect Roberto Rossi recently completed a unique home on the beautiful countryside near Rimini of Northern Italy.
The house was constructed by the local Italian contractor ProTek, creating a home that can rotate a full 360 degrees -- requiring a lightweight structure that can withstand any trauma from the rotation. Carefully balanced on a central pillar, the octagonal home was made to be rotated mechanically in both directions to give the owner optimal views. The secondary use of the rotation gives the home the ability to face directly at the sun to optimize the use of solar panels.
