Origami Biker Babes

Black & White Folding Fashions at Rick Owens Spring 2010 Show

Rick Owens crafted fabrics for his Spring 2010 show as if he was a Japanese origami master. There were crisp black, white and grayscale hues, combined with sharp corners that gave his models edginess.

Maybe it was the cropped motorcycle-inspired jackets, but the models at the Rick Owens Spring 2010 show certainly looked as if they would rev their engines and speed away once hitting the end of the runway. The heavy blacks may seem too drab for spring, but the notoriously dark designer saw it differently: "I lightened up," he said.
