The Rick Genest for ODD editorial is intense and haunting.
Rick Genest, aka Rico the Zombie, models the coming line of ODD apparel. The human zombie is featured in gothic-chic ensembles, favoring heavy fabrics in long, draping silhouettes. The motif is closely related to erotic films as it is to macabre fashion. Pieces feature zippered mouth details, extreme studded leather gloves and an authoritative leather police cap. Memorable pieces include a long sleeved tshirt, with sleeves long enough to render a straight jacket. Also memorable is the over the face, turtle-necked frock.
The clothing is highly reminiscent of a darkly inhabited asylum. Rick Genest’s icy glare is lensed by photographer Austin Young. The gothic fashions were styled by Bobby Webster & Judson Harmon for ODD.
