Crystallized Touch Lanterns

Thin Metal Rods Encase the Gem-Like Reverie Lamp by Sergio Guijarro

Activated by touch, the Reverie Lamp is surrounded by 25 delicate metal rods that both give the lamp its crystallized shape and power it on and off.

Not one to let an on and off switch interfere with his vision of perfectly asymmetrical geometry, designer Sergio Guijarro got rid of the idea altogether by eliminating the need for any excess switches or buttons. Instead, the user touches one of the thin metal twines surrounding the bulb and the light immediately turns on or off, creating an interactive experience between the user and the decor element.

As described on Daily Design Joint, the Reverie Lamp by Sergio Guijarro is "a design that makes the most of the voids as well," experimenting with space and structural form.
