Designer Peter Stults Re-Imagines Contemporary Films in the Past

As much as the world is currently in its digital age, it can be argued that people are also living in a nostalgic era as well, which these retro movie posters attest to. This series re-imagines modern movies such as 'Interstellar,' which is premiering in theaters this weekend, 'The Expendables III' and 'A Dame to Kill For.'

Created by designer and illustrator Peter Stults, the retro movie poster series is a continuation of his original project, What If: Movie Posters, back in 2012. The fourth edition to date, the retro movie posters go way beyond a vintage look. They also recast the actors and actresses with such stars as a young Sylvester Stallone, Shirley Temple and Kirk Douglas.
