The Replica Fokker Eindecker is Lawnmower-Powered

Amateur pilot Dave Stephens built a replica of a WW1 Fokker Eindecker at his home. The replica is powered by a lawnmower engine instead of an old-fashioned rotary engine. The plane has an open cockpit, and its wings are made of a special flimsy fabric. The whole plane just weighs 114 kilos (just over 251 pounds).

Dave Stephens spent almost five months to make the replica at a cost of around £14,000. The replica has a top speed of 50 mph.
