BMW's Remote Valet Parking System Lets Cars Park Themselves.

BMW's Remote Valet Parking system may one day vanquish the fears all of us hold when we drive around a massive multi-storey car park looking for a space to awkwardly squeeze into. BMW is currently testing the technology in the hopes that drivers will eventually be able to let their vehicle loose in a parking lot so it can park itself.

The system will be triggered by an app. Once the driver leaves the vehicle, drivers can let their vehicle loose and be confident that it will park itself without bumping into anything or anyone. The driver can then 'call' their vehicle when they're on their way back to the car park. The system is capable of calculating how long the driver will take before starting the park and meeting the driver at a predetermined location.
