The Refugee Aid App is described as "a single point for refugees to find information and for NGOs to provide it." Initially developed as a passion project by Shelley Taylor, the mobile app is now relied upon by hundreds of non-profit organizations.
The Refugee Aid App, or RefAid, displays where aid workers, migrants and refugees can find services nearby on a map. The application has a simple and easy to use interface and a web-based content management platform that makes it easy for organizations to list and update the services they offer. This also helps organizations get aid to the places and people that need them most.
The app is already available in Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Greece, Italy, Slovenia and the UK with plans to launch in more European countries, Latin America, Jordan and the United States soon.
