The chair was designed using the same flexweave technology that is featured in Reebok's shoes, which is made through interlocking various strands, resulting in a "strong and lightweight construction." For this project, Odd Matter altered the material's shape to test how it functioned while under tension. The end result, is a functioning chair that enables an individual to activate their core muscles while seated, offering a dual-purpose object, that's both practical and innovative.
