Star Trek Theme Parks

The Theme of Jordan's Red Sea Astrarium is Suggested by King Abdullah

The Red Sea Astrarium may draw on Middle Eastern cultural and historical themes, yet the soon to be opened amusement park is being dubbed something much more modern day: the Star Trek Theme Park. This is due in large part to its multi-attraction Star Trek experience, which is based on the reboot, not the original William Shatner television show.

With this in mind, the Red Sea Astrarium will appeal to all generations as the J.J. Abrams-directed film series has resurrected interested in the sci-fi franchise. Including a 4D cinema, an indoor themed water park and the Cradle of Inspiration attraction--a journey through space and time, which explores the nature of creativity and inspiration--the Star Trek theme was suggested by His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan himself.
